Description

This photo was taken with a slow shutter speed in a dark room with a TV screen.
I spent ages waving the camera back and forth as I took the picture to try to get a curby spine look.

All comments are welcome.

Cheers

Wow, a very interesting photo! My only comment is the large black area doesn't add much to the piece, so 1/2-2/3 of it could be cropped out easily - I think that would strengthen the composition.

Interesting effect and technique! & intense colour.
"ages waving camera back and forth"...

so is that the image from the tv screen or the glow? or something else entirely? whatever it's quite luminescent! and pretty, agree tho about the dark lower section not adding too much to the composition.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I agree I could do with cropping the bottom of the image alright. I will do this and update the image soon.

Velvetgoodnite - yeah this is the tv screen. It actually the DVD logo that appears when I turn on my DVD player. :) lol
It took me about a half an hour taking loads of images to catch just the right shape out of the light.

Thanks again everyone.

Very Innovative! I love the effects that one can get from a slow shutter speed.
